I'm an egotist...

And what better way to proclaim so than on my blog...On these lines, I decide to pen down a few tidbits about me...Few things bland and some quite spicy, to be reaffirmed by those who know me and to be judged by those who dont !

"WILL THE REAL VASUDHA PLEASE STAND UP !"

** I...DO...NOT...LIKE...MAHATMA...GANDHI ! And nothing can change my mind on that...The statement goes way deeper than just a choice, its who I am...Yuvi would understand...

** Gerberas over Roses...Dark Chocolate over Milk...Pastels over RYB...Tea over Coffee...Fiction over Fact...Retrievers over Chihuahuas...Amar Chitra Katha over Harry Potter...Teacup Pigs over Caged Lovebirds...Pink booties over Blue...

Any-damn-day !

** I'm game for crazy ! Not dangerously so but few memories of the edge would suffice...Galloping on a horse, bungee jumping, scripting a teeny tiny tattoo or tasting exotic cuisines (Read: Frogs, Roaches, Squids) without the reluctance of the Brahmin in me !

** I've managed to taste my share of wines, liquor and cigarettes but the satisfaction was in realising how much I hated whatever I drank or smoked ! Hence, I'm a non alcoholic and a non smoker, absolutely by my own choice !

** What do ABBA, Mohammed Rafi and Akshay Mohanty have in common?Yup, they are Music Maestros spanning countries, generations and languages and all three have a spot in my playlists...Always !

** I dream of owning a library one day...And gifting the magic of literature to my kids as my Mum passed on to to me !

** I'm outlandishly tall and huge, and I absolutely revel in my stature ! Though I smile politely whenever I hear, "OMG, you're so tall !" (and I hear it a lot), all I want to secretly shout back is, "OMG and you're so short !"



** I love gory flicks ! I enjoy the subtle (Read: 'The Blair Witch Project' and 'Paranormal Activity') and I enjoy the overdone (Read: 'Saw' and 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre')... 

** Surprisingly, I cannot stand gore in reality ! So, even though I can sit through endless hours of scream queens, five minutes of 'America's Nastiest Videos' flusters me ! A true scaredy cat and proud to admit so !

** Though I put up a tough exterior, I'm a crybaby of sorts ! Well, I do not hesitate in wailing out loud over a song, a tear jerker movie, some past memory, a fight or a loss, but as my already bulbous nose tends to grow to greater dimensions due to the activity of the Lacrimal, I wisely keep my breakdowns away from the public eye ! 

** I'm the convenient extrovert...But at the end of the day, nothing beats getting into my jammies, curling up my toes, digging into a Chicken Cheese Burger and watching 'How I Met Your Mother' !

** I so hate ostentatious declarations of love ! And ofcourse PDA makes me want to barf...As far as I'm concerned, I can very well find my romance in childish doodles on post its !

** I dont know how to cook ! Well, I can churn up the perfect omlette and brew a fine cup of tea but unfortunately that's that ! Ofcourse, its petty when I think about it, it wasn't written in the Rig Veda that women ought to know how to cook ! I look at it this way...If I could learn MS Excel and Candlestick Charts, what's a platter of spices !

** I'm a Scorpio to the hilt ! I'm passionate about certain things, I'm insanely jealous and I'm stubborn as a mule when it suits me ! But as Linda Goodman put it, my inherent desire as that of any Scorpio woman is, to be a man ! And I'd love to be one for a day...Without the anatomical modifications and deletions ofcourse ! And what would I do?Well, I'd simply learn exactly what charms and manipulations of women manage to make men absolute fools wrapped around their little fingers ! 

** How I love the abstract ! I wouldn't hesitate in a Typo screen on my PC, screaming 'Helvetica' or a collage of the weirdest images on my wall...No teddy bears for me, I'd rather have my Origami paper cranes with me...


** My worst fear is being buried alive ! The elements of Fire, Wind and Water intimidate but Earth terrorises me ! As in 'Spoorloos', my nightmare is being enclosed in a nailed casket with a tiny lighter, the death of whose flickering flame predecesses mine...No boogeyman can scare me any worse !

** I'm not an atheist but I'm not pious...I believe in my Gods and I'll believe in yours...I believe in ghosts and poltergeists just as I believe in coincidences and miracles...I put my fear and faith in God and I deny Godmen...I'm not a do-gooder, far from it, but I do believe in a simple five letter word called 'Karma'...
